Vaccinations: unless trekking and living in the deepest jungle, you should be ok (have been going to Malaysia for years and never gone for specific vaccinations beyond standard)

Don't get caught short buying overly expensive airport adapters, or worse, find yourself arriving late at night and finding you're out of juice and you have a two pin plug that you can't jam into the three pin socket
