What to wear and when to wear it - dress codes are generally a pain... Hopefully this can help a little

Langkawi is an island, and as such we hope to benefit from some cool sea breezes as a respite from the heat. Nevertheless, for those of you coming from outside of SE Asia, it may be hot and humid

Average temperatures for February during the day should be 23C to 30C

The Wedding Banquet will be held in the Grand Ballroom.. in air conditioning!​

Dress Code: "Beach Casual"
We will be outdoors and hopefully there will be a sea breeze, some music, some grilled food - chill out before the big day.

We'll be out on the sand, so high heels might not be the best idea

This is totally come as you are - whether this means painfully cool, regular shorts and t-shirt or cutesy-wootsy matching couples outfits (bonus points if you have matching children)

Wedding Ceremony - Heavenly Spa

followed by lunch and tea ceremony

Dress Code:  "Elegant Summer"
This is the best phrase we could come up with for the feel we were going for.

This is a pretty good guide

The ceremony is on wooden decking, not sand, so ladies, your heels should be ok, unless you want to go for a stroll on the beach after the ceremony. 

To give you an idea of the bridal party - the groomsmen will be in shirtsleeves,
the bridesmaid will be in light gowns,
the groom will be in a suit and
the bride.. she'll be the one in the white dress.

Dress Code: "Black Tie"
Black tie - we know not everyone has a closet of tuxedos and evening gowns ready to go.

However, if you do, now is the time to break them out

If not, dark suits and cocktail dresses work just as well!
