Langkawi is an island in the Andaman Sea, so unless you are an extremely strong swimmer, you are going to need to to take some form of transport to get to us.
Once in Langkawi, it's a hop, skip and jump over to the Westin - scroll down for more details

There are no direct flights from Europe to Langkawi, and so we would recommend flying to a major Asian city hub and taking a connection down to Langkawi.
Kuala Lumpur is the most obvious choice, with the connecting flight a mere 1 hour 10 minutes down to Langkawi. It is possible via some airlines (such as Malaysian Airlines) to book directly through e.g London - Kuala Lumpur - Langkawi, allowing for a stop over to enjoy KL
There are direct flights from London (British Airways, Malaysian Airlines); Abu Dhabi (Etihad), Amsterdam (Malaysia, KLM)
There are not direct flights from Germany, however of course, Lufthansa connects through most of the European hubs

Flying is the easiest way to get into Langkawi, however if you have some time on your hands and/or are feeling adventurous, you can try one of the ferries from Penang, Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis. There are also ferry options from the Thai islands. (Note: we've never tried these before, so cannot personally recommend, but this seems useful and up to date) By Air Direct flights to Langkawi from:
No direct flight from Australia or Hong Kong unfortunately, but you've got those connecting options above.. |

How to get to the Westin
So you're at Langkawi International Airport, or a port jetty - and you need to get to the venue or your hotel
You have three options:
- Westin Hotel transfer - you can do this via the hotel booking form here
- Blue Sky Limo - click here for rates and booking and send it via email to our wonderful wedding planner Cindy (contact details in the form)
- Taxi from the airport: there are Taxi booths before you walk through the outdoors, where you tell them where you want to go and you buy a taxi coupon, then you go outside and hand it to the person who will definitely find you first. This means you do not pay anything to the driver directly. Taxi to the Westin should cost around MYR30
